Mariam Salib

Associate Attorney

Mariam Salib is an associate attorney at Pearl Legal, where her practice focuses on civil litigation, including labor and employment matters and business litigation. Mariam was admitted to the California State Bar in 2025 and is licensed to practice before all California state courts. She is particularly drawn to litigation strategy, legal research, and motion practice, and brings a collaborative, detail-oriented approach to every matter she handles.

Before joining Pearl Legal, Mariam gained experience across a wide range of legal settings, including civil litigation firms, labor and employment firms, the Orange County District Attorney's Office, immigration law practices, family and probate law firms, and personal injury firms. Her experience has spanned labor and employment disputes and wage-and-hour claims; discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters; business and contract disputes; real estate and trust and estate litigation; insurance defense; medical malpractice and elder abuse defense; and family, criminal, and immigration matters.

Mariam has built a strong litigation foundation drafting pleadings, motions, demand letters, and legal memoranda; preparing and responding to written discovery; reviewing pertinent records and evidence; and assisting trial counsel with trial preparation. Mariam supports all aspects of the firm's cases, from initiation through trial.

During law school, Mariam served as a law clerk with firms handling business litigation, labor and employment, immigration, family law, probate, and criminal matters, as well as with the Orange County District Attorney's Office. She was actively involved in the International Law Society and the Public Interest Law Foundation, served as a Staff Editor for Diversity Forum Justice, and was selected as a Barbri Representative.

Mariam approaches her work with clients as responsive, approachable, and solution-oriented, keeping clients informed throughout the litigation process, listening carefully to their concerns, and providing thoughtful, practical guidance tailored to their goals.

Mariam earned her J.D. from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated magna cum laude with concentrations in International Law and American Politics and a minor in Arabic and Islamic Studies. At UCLA she was part of the Honors Program and was named to the President's Honor List and the Dean's Honor List. She is admitted to practice in California.

Mariam stays active in the Chapman University School of Law and UCLA alumni networks, and she has served as a Scout Leader since 2015. She is fluent in Arabic and has beginner proficiency in Spanish and French.

Outside the office, Mariam enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling to tropical destinations, and exploring new cities and cultures. Fun fact: she is a twin.
